Hello,
I am running a 10-year backtest starting with a cash equity of
$10,000. I am very curious to know if I can simulate making a
deposit to my (brokerage) account during the middle of a backtest,
therefore increasing the cash available for trades during the
backtest.
For example, if my backtest runs from Jan 1, 1994 to Jan 1, 2004, is
there a way of coding an increase in the equity on a specific date?
Let's say I wanted to deposit an additional $2,000 into my account on
Jan 1, 1999. Could there be some code such as the following
pseudo-code?:
If Current-date = Jan 1, 1999
Equity = Equity + 2000.00
Many thanks,
Joe
