Sanjay, being a novice myself I have made gains with AB over last 1
month.
My experiences
1) Agrees with AB being ver y cool software
2) Time is needed to learn it.
3) Its nice if you have a need in mind ..say a formula you want
written or a graph you want to display etc , explorations ..
say what is the avg ATR , or volume of the stock market stocks . This
then gives you some goal in which to learn programming syntax and
language commands .
4) I read lightly the manual and played all the video tuts.
5) In my situation I had to convert metastock to AB so I started to
use this as a cause to learn.
6) I used search function in AB help to track examples of use of
commands auntil they became familiar and committed to memory. I would
cut paste examples and play with variables toget a "feel" for
commands .
7)tried programming them into my desired functions.
8 ) Get stuck and gt help here with great people who r willing to
help you.( thats why Im tryin to help u cause i can give some answers)
