Things are "simple": The peak(ARRAY, change,1)will give the value of
the most recent [known] peak.
In ^NDX chart, for example, the most recent Peak(H,5,1) is on June30,
2004 [H0=1523.48]. There is NO problem with this [EOD updated up to
Oct26, 2004].
The question is : Is there any peak(H,5,1) BETWEEN June30 and Oct26 ?
The answer [today] is negative.
Three days later, if ^NDX falls below 1400, the Oct6 WILL BE A PEAK !!
But, Oct6 already belongs to the past.
This is what we must understand with these functions : They
*discover* the peak some days later. Of course this comment is for
the probable new peaks and has nothing to do with Peak(H,5,1).
Peak(H,5,1) is the value of the most recent [established] Peak, it is
known and unique for today. From June 30 up to Oct26 there are many
PROBABLE peaks, we shall know more details in the future, NOT TODAY !!
