I have the same symptoms, but it is due to a screwup in the windows 98 operating system. Everything works fine on my computer which has the XP Pro operating system.
The error message that I get in the 98 system is >>"DDhelp Caused a general protection fault in module GDI.EXE AT 0002:00000027". The error message continues to tell about registers and so on. I would appreciate hearing suggestions in plain english regarding how I may be able to fix this. Ron D

Under Tools, Preferences, Miscellaneous: uncheck "Save on Exit"
(Preferences, Templates, Layouts).
Get the screens the way you would like to always see them, them select "Save
on Exit" Templates & Layouts only, not preferences. It will save the
layouts only once. Then every time you start the program it should look the
way you want it. I hope that's clear to you.

Hi,
Everytime, i open Amibroker the window layout changes to a different
order.
My work space, my charts, my alert box changes position and i have to
reorganise it before i start to work. I then close my app and reopen
it, it is in a new order.
How does it happen?
Pl help.
