Got it - thank you Bob!
So now, it occurs to me that we could short MSFT on 11/11 or so, and buy it
back $3 cheaper on 11/12. I imagine this won't work either - it's just too
easy, but I don't know why it won't work. Dividends have never played a big
part in my trading decisions, so I don't know much about them. Any thoughts
on this? Thank you for your help!
