Hi All,
As everyone probably knows, MSFT has announced a special $3/share dividend to shareholders of record on 11/17/04 ( ex-dividend date of 11/12, as I understand it ). Sounds like an easy way to pick up a quick 10-15%, but we all know the markets aren't that easy : - ).
I am curious to hear what effect the more experienced traders would expect this dividend to have on MSFT's share price shortly before and after that date - would you expect the share price to drop by $3/share the next day, or something similar? Thanks very much for all responses!
