AB creates variables on the fly.  What does the following code do?

dLaunchBar = 999999;

Is an array of dLaunchBar created and initialized all with 999999 or 
a single value variable created.

Can I start building an array using following code?

for ( i = 0; i < 17; i++ ) {
  dLaunchBar [i] = 999999;
}
