OK, now i get it: when we double click and Edit we are NOT editing the
formula that is displayed, we are editing a NEW formula. This is a major
change from before, no wonder I couldn't figure out what was going on.
Now... how do I edit the original formula without creating a new one?
Perhaps the "Edit" item in the chart's context menu should be used to Edit
the displayed chart and another (new) item should be added to copy or
duplicate, indicators?

Yes there is a better way - just DOUBLE CLICK
and then EDIT FORMULA.
No need to copy/paste anything nor click on "Add" since it is already NEW
copy of indicator you have choosen.
