Hello,
It is typical behaviour when you did not install IB ActiveX components as instructed
in the Users' Guide.

DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL
http://www.interactivebrokers.com/download/InstallAX.exe
then RESTART your computer (required to register TWS API ActiveX components).
