Do the following:
1. Downlaod the MetaStock Downloader from
www.Equis.com .This is your conversion tool for
converting data into MetaStock format. Why MetaStock
format? Simply because it(MS FORMAT) or ascii are
cross charting platform data formats. You will not
have to create a new database of a different data
format every time you purchase a new charting program.
2. Go to website of the stock exchange i.e. the
National Stock Exchange of India ( www.nseindia.com ).
They issue every day's data in OHLCV format in a csv
file called Bhavcopy. Download it - this is your raw
data which willl need to be converted.
3. To convert the data via the downloader you will
have to ammend it via Excel using instructions given
in MS Downlaoder help files - which are pretty self
explanatory.
