Hi Bman,
I would:
a) rename one of the available Watch lists to the name of your choice,
say, "no_shorts" in 'Symbol | Categories | Watch lists | Edit name"
b) convert your text file into a Watch list via 'Symbol | Watchlist |
Import | Select Watch list' menu choice).
c) in the AA dialog, use "Apply to | use filter | Exclude: Watch list:
no_shorts"
HTH,

Subject: [amibroker] Filtering non-shortable tickers
Hi folks,
I would like to exclude non-shortable ticker symbols from short
signals that are triggered in explorations or scans. These same
explorations or scans will also include buy signals. My broker only
allows shortng on certain stocks, of course. I have the text file of
these stocks. Is there an easy way to exclude these from shorting
signals, only?
Thanks in advance,
Bman
