I didn't find that post, but it should been something like this:

 

            xDayChange=Cum(Day()!=Ref(Day(),-1));

xColor=IIf(xDayChange % 2 > 0,colorTan,colorWhite);

PlotOHLC(O,H,L,C,"Price",colorBlack,styleBar);

Plot(1,"",xColor,styleArea|styleOwnScale|styleNoLabel,0,1);

Recently someone, Graham I think, posted a plot that used modulus (%) to

figure alternate days. He then plotted a histogram of 1 or null with style

own scale,0,1. Try it.
