Answers:
1) yes, the standard version will suffice
2) try Lycos/Quote.com for free stocks and futures data. You may have to
acculumulate, over a certain period of time, enough for your tests via
Amiquote, which comes with Amibroker.
3) I can't remember how many, but you get a certain number of upgrades free;
I have been getting them for over a year now for free, for example.

Hi,
I have following questions:
1) If the most detailed level of back testing which I would do would
be on 1 minute bars, can I do this with Standard version of Amibroker
or do I need to buy professional?
2)Is there a free source for historical 1 minute stock and futures
data? or will I have to pay to buy historical data? How much will it
cost?what would be a recommended source?
3)If I buy version 4.6 of Ami Broker do I get the subsequent versions
free or will I have to pay everytime a new version comes?
