While I have only launched batch files in this manner, I am guessing that,
if you use Windows XP, e.g., you should be able to start any executable file
from 'Control Panel | Scheduled Tasks'.
And dingo has written some VBS scripts in which launching and exiting of
Amibroker takes place. (see

Subject: [amibroker] Windows scripting
How can a Windows script file containing AFL code be launched
automatically? Use a batch file somehow?
If Amibroker has not been manually started at the time, will the AFL
code be run and results produced?
