[amibroker] editing default.format

I need to edit default.format so that the date line reads MDY instead
of DMY.  I can do this in Word of course, but in what format should I
save this file so that it won't be a mess when AB goes to read it?
Word warns about formatting that may be lost, etc., etc., and I'm not
sure exactly how to go about editing this.
