Hello,
I have FastTrack with its mutual fund database and AmiBroker with its
FastTrack plug-in and am having some problems with the AmiBroker Data
Purity feature. Thus, I would appreciate another FastTrack and
AmiiBroker user to try the following and let me know if you have the
same problem. Is so, then I will sent to AmiBroker support.
STEP 1. Make sure you have a few Trade created fnus that you can view
in AmiBroker. Make sure you can view them (or at least a few of
them) in AmiBroker before going to Step 2.
STEP 2. Run AmiBroker Data Purify on All symbols for n=2. I have the
first 2 boxes checked (report invalid OHLC relationships and report
missing quotes). I also have ^rut as my reference index and if you
do not have this in your FastTrack AmiBroker databased then use rut-i
from FastTrack.
STEP 3. Take note if any of the Trade created fnus addressed in Step
1 are listed. When I run Data Purify, ALL of my Trade related fnus
are listed and NONE should be listed. Again, it does not list any of
the FastTrack fnus that come with FastTrack's database, but it does
list ALL of the Trade created fnus.
STEP 4. Now, try to again view a few of the Trade created fnus. Mine
are now ALL blank and the chart says Price Not Available - Too Fee
Quotations. It is as if Data Purify deleted all of the price data
for each Trade created fnu. Panic sets in.
STEP 5. Now, close AmiBroker and re-open it and try again to view the
same Trade created fnus. I can no view ALL of mine.
I have no idea what is going on, but my guess is that AmiBroker has
some problems with only a subset of the FastTrack symbols -- that is,
it has problems with only the Trade created fnus. Of course, I may
be making a mistake and you can point me in the right direction.
Again, please let me know if you have the same problem.
