Thanks Tomasz,

I tried the purify and god look at all the hits I got. Now the next
question, just how does one use the results of purify to fix the
database? There seems to be no link to AQ that will retrieve the
missing or incorrect data so that I can actually purify the
database. To do it manually would probably take longer than just
downloading data for 7000 stocks. Do you have anything in the works
to allow me to direct purify to fix itself? It might be really
helpful if I could just send the list, one instance of each stock,
to AQ and download the data for only those only.

On second thought, forget that!!! I just exported the list to a
watch list and saved it int a .tls file so I could use AQ to
download the error stocks but I found that 6000 stocks had missing
quotes. Just how does one prevent so many error from getting into
the database?

It seems that when I regularly download data I should get a list of
stocks that did not download after the import is complete. I know
that I can scan the database but there are 7000 entries in the list
and that is difficult to wade through. If I had a list box with the
exceptions then I could work on them at once rather than after it
gets to becomes a huge job to fix the database, like right now.

Cheers,
Barry
