-The diamond appears immediately--it's only the tool tip that is
delayed--as Graham points out, the instantaneous y pos shows in the status
bar.
-You grab and move the horizontal line with a left click..
-Snap to doesn't apply because there might be more than one point.
- By "only needing to adjust a single value for a horizontal line is valid
though", you must be referring to adjusting the line's property via the
right-click menu.

Thanks Bob - that helps. I had missed that, mainly because there is about
a 1 second delay before the little box appears, by which time I've moved
the mouse or right-clicked already to adjust it.
Graham has also pointed out the mouse cursor numbers at the bottom, which
I'd missed completely. I guess that is part of the problem of coming
across from something which is so familiar (MetaStock) that everything is
done at speed by second nature. I need to slow down a bit perhaps. And
thanks for all the help I'm getting on this forum - much appreciated :)
I still think my point about only needing to adjust a single value for a
horizontal line is valid though.... ;)
