build in firewall. The problem is that the jargon used on the forms down in
there are alien to me. I'm going to have to bite the bullet and get some outside
help - which I hate doing as they more often than not have never seen a config
like mine and make it worse.

D,Not saying it will fix your problem but if you are using
the built-in XP firewall, make sure "Remote Desktop" is enabled under
Advanced Settings. One way to get there: Control Panel => Network
Connections => right click on properties of your local area connection
