Thank you. I "suspect" that the problem may occur when some "non-standard"
intraday time zone settings are used - but I did not manage to find any combination
that may lead to any problems - and that's why I am asking for screenshots.

Yes but you have to setup night session hours.
Go to File->Database Settings->Intraday Settings and enter correct night session hours
and then you will see 2 bars per day.
