Howdy,

The thing that isn't intuitive about AmiBroker is that anything programmed into the IndicatorBuilder has no AFL file you can see UNTIL you save the code. This is really only a problem if you would like to move a specific afl to another computer or e-mail it to a buddy.

What would be cool is the ability to code all aspects of the IB (scaling, middle, etc.) into the AFL, and just run everything from the AA window rather than messing with the Indicator Builder.

Now, I do all my coding in the AA window, and only code #include statements in the Indicator Builder to prevent any problems.

I think you're one step ahead of me.  Where are these AFL files that contain my custom indicators?  (I looked in my AFL folder and I don't see my indicators in there.  I do some indicators, but I think they are some of the packaged ones.)  I like your organizational ideas but I can't find the files to organize.  Hope that makes sense...--- In amibroker@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, "Al Venosa" <advenosa@xxxx> wrote:> Jayson is right. What I've done is create 4 subfolders under the Amibroker/AFL folder, one for Indicators, one for Explorations, one for Commentaries, and one for Systems. Everything is nicely organized. When you want to migrate your AFL files to another computer, it's a very easy copy/paste procedure. Also, the file broker.charts file contains all your custom indicators, so you could
create a backup copy of it, too. > > Al Venosa>   ----- Original Message ----- >   From: Jayson >   To: amibroker@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx >   Sent: Wednesday, May 05, 2004 12:03 PM>   Subject: RE: [amibroker] Re: Back up of Custom Indicators> > >   Why keep your custom afl's in files/amibroker? Create a separate directory for your AFL files, move your existing files there, then save that directory. In the future when you save a new AFL just point the save to your new directory. If the folder contains just AFL's it should be of manageable size.....> >   Regards,> >   Jayson > >     -----Original Message----->     From: newnow02 [mailto:newnow02@xxxx]>     Sent: Wednesday, May 05, 2004 11:52
