Jose,

Showing multiple symbols in one chart (using the PlotForeign
function) is indeed solving my problem but only if I show the
gapless data as the primary symbol and then add the gapped data
series to it using the PlotForeign function. There are no gaps in
the time line any more and the gapped price data nicely shows empty
space where no data is available.

Unfortunately it does not work the other way around: when I show the
gapped data as primary symbol (and this is what you want since all
indicators etdc operate on primary symbol) and then add the gapless
data using the PlotForeign function then the time line still shows
the gaps. The time axis doesn't change after adding the gapless
data series.

So one drawback of this workaround is that you can't use the gapped
data series ("secondary symbol") in indicators, systems
etc any more. Perhaps there is a workaround for that again (p.e.
using ParamStr function) but then things are getting more and more
complicated.

I will however investigate other possiblities: (i) see if I can
change price arrays using p.e. a custom ActiveX component and (ii)
see if I can make indicators etc operate on the secondary data
series...

Regards Robert (any new suggestions are more than welcome).
