Ara,

Maybe not necessarily, but that is the shortcut I used to
solve the problem.

As you rightly question, the problem code may have been in use
somewhere amongst the extensive layouts I had loaded (but not
displayed).

Nevertheless, it is one solution.  Nothing is lost as you
will keep the old brokerb file right where it is; except anytime you load
the version it is in your cpu usage goes up, and gradually terminates running
applications.

Do you mean to say that files accumulated in
Brokerb.charts file can slow down the machine enen when you are not using the
  "offending" indicator???

    Padhu,

It may be happening because of what you have added to
custom indicators. They reside in the brokerb.charts file. You may have
copied and downloaded code from the list, or even the library, or elsewhere,
of course, and it is not coded for fastest possible execution.

In this case you could remove that code. The big question
is Can you find it?  If you brokerb.charts file is small you might find
the offending indicator and remove it.  If you file is large, say 150
pages, you will not find it.

That is the time to set up a new folder for AB Fresh and
download a fresh copy of the latest full program. Before it installs it will
guide you through the folder choices where you must be sure to send it to
    the new  folder you made.

Then you can install, and you will have a clean program
with stock indicators which will run fast.  Little by little you can
add back you most crucial custom indicators, one at a time, trying them each
out for speed of execution and observing usage levels.

As long as you experience no cpu usage problem you can add
another custom indicator. Perhaps you will find the offending formula this
    way.

And perhaps you will find enough other indicators that are
OK that you can stop adding more and proceed to your trades.

It is not a data failure, or a program failure, or an
internet connection failure.  It is (in this example) a poorly written
code segment that you will have to keep out.

    Sincerely,

    MR
