[amibroker] Quick question on Layers - help please?

I have two linked windows (Daily and Weekly)... Do I have to select 
the layer that I want to draw to every time I switch windows? 

Here are the steps I've taken:

1. Selected the Daily window 
2. Click on the daily layer 
3. Drew the line 

4. Selected the Weekly window 
5. Click on the weekly layer 
6. Drew the line 

This sounds difficult... is this the only way?
