For the benefit of the user group here, when Darvas was alive and his book on how he made a million dollars was a bestseller, the states attorney of New York sued Darvas claiming that he never made a million dollars.
Court records showed that Darvas NEVER made a million dollars that his book so claimed. Trading records that Darvas provided showed that he did make money but that in his writings he multiplied the number of positions so that his net gains accumulated to over a million dollars.
As to whether or not increased sizing itself would have prevented Darvas from actually making all the millions he claimed ... that's something we will never know. I don't believe anyone has been able to quantify the affect of position sizing on market price behavior.
