Yahoo suspends email messages to group members
If you suddenly stop receiving emails from Yahoo Groups you belong to, there
may be a reason, and you have to take action to fix it.
If for any reason an email sent to you from Yahoo bounces and they receive a
bounce message, your account is flagged. Many ISP's are implementing Spam
filters that bounce emails from Yahoo believing it to be Spam.
Multiple bounces will result in Yahoo suspending emails to you.
You can check to see if you have been cut off by going to your My Groups
page
http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups
and looking just above the list of Yahoo Groups you belong to for an Alert
message.
If you have been alerted that you are cut off because of bounced emails, you
will have to click a link to request reactivation.
Yahoo will respond by sending an email to you. You reply to the email (or
for faster service click the link in the email), thus proving to Yahoo that
you can receive email from them. Your account will be reactivated
immediately.
By clicking the link in the email, you go to a web page that says you have
been reactivated and also has a link to a list of Groups and messages you
did not receive.
So, keep an eye on your account status or you may be missing out on the
messages from your favorite groups.
