If you select "edit the formula" (by right
clicking the indicator in one of the one of the small panes) the formula of
the indicators is shown. If you look underneath the code, you will see
"Scaling" and the words "Automatic" and "Custom". Automatic continuously
adjusts the Y-axis scaling to ensure all the x-axis data in the pane is
visible. If you want to keep the pane fixed, then use custom and define
the fixed scaling "min" and Max" you want. The graph will then
be set permanently on this y-axis range.

Request
Some times i´m looking a chart in real time and when a bar
is greater than the normal range, the Y axis (price) is automatically
adjusted to accomodate the new bar causing a change in the look of the
chart. It's the same chart but the change in format confuses me.A
good feature whould be to include a checkbox in the preferences dialog
that enable/disable the automatic adjustment of price
