i'm a newbie too, and just last week asked your 1st question and got the
answer i'm posting.
1. using AmiQuote--click the "+" button. add your symbol(s). change the
date to what you want, press the green arrow. it's automatically put in
your data base... nice..
2. see above.
3 here-- lots of stuff to read, and hopefully you'll get used to using AB.

(1)For instance, if I add a stock symbol to my data base and want to
get historical quotes for it, is there a way to do this without
updating the entire data base each time. If I use Amiquote it goes
through the whole data base each time.
(2)When getting historical quotes for a single stock newly added to
a data base, I have to manually reenter the start date (like 1/1/99)
each time. Is there a way to set a default so that when a new symbol
is added to a data base I do not have to keep reentering the start
date for the quotes for that symbol.
(3)Is there a place to go for the really simple questions. I have
looked at the Files section and that is more advanced than the
questions I am asking as is the Newsletter section.
