I solved my own problem. If you use Auto-update to get your ticker
list into AmiQuote, then stop the download right away, then save the
list as a .tls file, then exit and restart AmiQuote and re-load that
same list and set the From date to, say, 1970, it will then happily
fetch price data as far back as Yahoo has available.
Doesn't quite explain why the bug arose - if indeed the bug can be
duplicated by others...
