The problem I had was caused by a video display desktop manager (from NVIDIA) which does all sort of weird and wonderful things including changning the functionality of the SPACE bar key.
Have you got some special video software loaded ? Maybe you have a multi-monitor setup ?
If so try closing that and see what happens.

I take it that you are using web browser to view this forum, if that's the case you can subscribe to have these posts emailed to you and that way you will receive all the attachments (if thats what you want). The details are on the web forum main page. The screen shot I posted was of the F3 AmiBroker find window which you described, displaying the 'AA P' ticker.
I have previously experienced this issue, the bad news is that I dont remember what I did to resolve it. It wasn't an AmiBroker problem.
I'm going to keep thinking about it and will come back to you if I recall the solution or more than likely someone elses memory is working better than mine and will post the answer.
If you open the Charting package supplied by QP and type N to bring up its find window do you see 'AA P' in the list and view its data ?
If so then all I can suggest is you try to perform another Retreive from within AmiBroker
File-->Database Setting...-->COnfigure
Check everything you require and click the Retrieve button.

First, it was never, and is never, my intention to spread false
information. My wording was clearly improper in that I neglected to
state it was my, rather than the software's, problem. For this I
gladly apologize.
Second, the exact nature of the problem I have is that using the
Quotes Plus database, in particular, I cannot bring up AA P or AA P
in AmiBroker.
If I use F3 to get the find by ticker dialog and key in AA followed
by a space, there are no tickers. If I key in Alcoa using the find
by name dialog there is only the Alcoa common stock.
The thrust of my problem for which I'm seeking guidance is that I
cannot gain access to AA P when AmiBroker is using the Quotes Plus
database.
Incidentally, the FIND screen mentioned by Mr. Peters as well as the
picture mentioned by Mr. Janeczko are not visible to me. How might I
view them?
Any guidance will be appreciated. Thank you.
