In the attached, you will see in the plot area that the plot of the ATC
is compressed near the top of the scale because the right axis shows
values all the way from 2900 (approx) down to zero). You will see in
the open Quote Editor box, that values of zero show for Open, High and
Low, while the Close holds the ATC value. If I take my cursor in the
Quote editor, click on a row and then run the highlighted row "cursor"
down, this fills the Open/High/Low values with the close value. I have
done this with the rows from 9/26/2003 and above.
Can anyone help with several questions.
I am using a line only display (in the FastTrack database), so why
doesn't the right axis automatically conform to the Close values only?
Why does scrolling down the Quote Editor automatically "fill" the other
fields?
I see there is an ATC "flag", "X", which says to update all OHLC fields
at once. Why is this necessary? Also, can someone briefly add some
explanation to the several field codes that are listed in the help box
for ATC, namely, field code = 8 (allow running ATC in Backtest/Optimize
mode), field code = 16, (allow running ATC in exploration mode)......ah,
I see the explanation below that these are necessary for using ATC in
anything but SCAN mode.
Can someone give me a brief example where I would use ATC in Explore
Mode or even in Backtest mode? I have never considered these aspects
before.
I guess I need to run any ATCs used in FastTrack (Close only data) with
the Flag set to "X" to fill all fields, is this correct?
