A few steps
Create a new databse, then set it to MS plugin
Then in databse settings - configure - add directory - select the directory
where the MS data resides
Then while there click Retrieve Symbols button
Then you should be in business

Subject: [amibroker] Demo user needs database help
I'm looking at Amibroker for the first time and having trouble
getting it to read my Metastock database. I can't open the Metastock
database directly because it isn't a "valid" Amibroker database. So
I try to create a New Database, and I have the data source set for
the Metastock plugin, but when I click on "create" I always get the
error message that the database "is not empty". I'm using the
default MyNewData, and I've tried another one I created called
NewData. Either way, although both folders have a structure of
subfolders created by Amibroker and are completely empty of visible
files, I still get the "is not empty" error message.
I'm stuck at this point. Can someone show me the error of my ways?
A step by step would be very helpful, I may be missing something
obvious although I have tried many times. The help files are not
specific enough to get me past this point.
