Hi Croh –
I have a long time relationship with both
MetaStock and TradeStation. I have removed TradeStation and no long use
MetaStock.
When you have some time, before you send
MetaStock back for a refund, run those “<font size=2
face=Arial>100 well-organized
trading systems” on a variety of tickers, then report back to us how many
you found to be good enough to trade. Very few of the systems posted
anywhere (MetaStock, TradeStation, or even AmiBroker) will make money without
modification. And very few fit the trading style of any individual
examining them. And, if you don’t find what you like in the <font
size=2 color=navy face=Arial>“<span
>100”, you will still need
programming skills to design your own.
The AmiBroker Yahoo group is vibrant, while the MetaStock
group is nearly dead. The AmiBroker support and development is
spectacular, while the MetaStock development is on hold for the next few years
(according to a telephone conversation I had with their own technicians).
Yes, you will need to brush up on your programming skills, but
AmiBroker is head and shoulders better than either MetaStock or TradeStation.

by Equis. With AmiBroker, there are no less variety of <font

contributed by volunteers. But I am no programmer, and to this <font

uninitiated,
I don't know I can sort out which systems are worth <font
size=2 face="Courier New">
trying
or if any of the sytems published are error free and usable.<font
size=2 face="Courier New">
(looking
at the AFL Libriary, there seems to be a fair amount of <font
size=2 face="Courier New">
scripts
which are incomplete or contain errors.) <font size=2
face="Courier New">
I
really like the AmiBroker user community, but I am not sure this is <font
size=2 face="Courier New">
for
the green horns, who have not used computerized systms before. <font
size=2 face="Courier New">
Should
I gain some experience for trading systems with MetaStock, <font
size=2 face="Courier New">
before
I adopt AmiBorker? If I started with AmiBroker, I will have no <font
size=2 face="Courier New">
idear
what systems to start with.<span
