Thanks for your kind words Pal. I'm new to the Amibroker community. We have been AIQ users for years, and are just now trying to learn more about the capabilities of Amibroker.   With regards to my weekly commentary, my point was that we would use the fluctuation in prices to buy the pull backs in the strongest sectors. We trade sector and index mutual funds. I'm with you. As long as the underlying trend is in tact, sideways choppy markets can give great entries. HOWEVER, since that commentary was written last week, a lot has transpired.   The market isn't looking so sideways anymore. :)        Eric LeakeV.P., Portfolio ManagerAnchor Capital Management Group, Inc.voice 949.341.0000http://www.anchor-capital.com     > Hi,I read your market commentary on your website.  I like your method for handling pullbacks, i.e., waiting for the trend ro re-assert itself for pullbacks (its much wiser to wait for the correction to occur and then look to enter if (and only if) the original trend begins to re-assert itself.) I actually re-enter on a pullback if the trend is still intact, and do not wait for the trend to re-assert itself.  This is more risky.   In such cases, I use tight stops to manage risk.  I'm of the view that volatility doesn't matter (low or medium or high) for pullbacks or breakouts or confirmed trend changes.  But you mentioned, "We will use the volatility to buy the leadership groups on pull backs."  I'm curious as to what exactly you mean here?  ofcourse, I understand if you chose not to reply for any reasons, including proprietary information...rgds, Pal--- In amibroker@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, Eric Leake wrote:> Send BUG REPORTS to bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxSend SUGGESTIONS to suggest@xxxxxxxxxxxxx----------------------------- ------------Post AmiQuote-related messages ONLY to: amiquote@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (Web page: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/amiquote/messages/)- -------------------------------------------Check group FAQ at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/amibroker/files/groupfaq.html Your use of Yahoo!
