Dave,
You might want to check out the spreadsheet
entitled "<A
href="">MCS
calculations for Amibroker.zip" located at: <A
href="">http://groups.yahoo.com/group/amibroker/files/MonteCarlo%20PortfolioBacktester/
It can plot profit distributions for you along with
some other pretty graphs.

BETA released - profit distribution
<SPAN

gets that apply to EOD use.

<SPAN
class=445534415-13112003>it was the profit distribution stats I was looking
for as numbers, not MAE/MFE, but obviously profit is also included in the
trade list, so it's capturable from there too.

As announced with the release of AmiBrokre 4.0 RT the
'real time' version has always been a superset
of features offered by Standard Edition. At the same time
Standard version allowed and allows intraday charting
and backtesting too. Therefore the name "RT" was not
really reflecting the distinction. People were confused
thinking that they can not use "RT" version in daily
mode.
The distinction was always that RT offered just MORE
features (like tick charts, N-tick charts, 5-sec charts, 15-sec
charts,
more symbols in real time quote window and now MAE/MFE
distribution charts).
Therefore (as I announced a few weeks ago) I decided to
change the name from "Real Time Edition" to
"Professional" edition that better reflects the fact that
Pro version is superset of Standard edition.
That said "Professional Edition" will continue to be just
richer in the most advanced features.
As for MAE/MFE numbers: they are already available as
last 2 columns in Trade List. This allows you to create your
own
calculations based on them.
Best regards,Tomasz Janeczkoamibroker.com

4.48.2 BETA released - profit distribution
<SPAN
class=164091115-13112003>tomasz, is there any chance for a preference that
selects whether profit distribution appeared as a graph or a numeric
table?
<SPAN

<SPAN
class=164091115-13112003>IMO, the graph is easier for me as a human to
eyeball, but the raw numbers would be easier to capture into a database or
do calculations with.

<SPAN
class=164091115-13112003>while I'm asking questions in this area, it seems
like the addition of MFE/MAE charts only to the pro version of AB might
mean that you're heading towards distinguishing the pro version from
the standard one in other ways besides intra-day capability. is that
so? what other features are planned for pro only?
