Conrad,
to add a plot in the built-in price chart just add the plot above the line
of code that says

//--Indicator-End-- Line

plot(x,"My Indicator",4,2|stylownscale);

To add a second window in IB you could use the same code but drop the
styleownscale..

Or are you asking how to use plotshapes? In either case the help files
should be able to offer some more examples

entered it as an inicator
but AB creates a new window to display the result.
