Sure, but FOREX trading is THE most profitable business in the
world...
Stocks have the following drawbacks: Too much margin required,
Short-selling very illiquid, Too small a market (compared to FOREX &
Futures), Bear market traps exist, Profits not rapid enough, Good
accurate data costs money...
Futures have the following drawbacks: Rollover of contract sometimes
just when you are making a profit, Too much commissions, Always the
worst fill, Too much delay in getting fills, Some markets cannot be
traded at night unless they are large contracts (e.g., COMEX
silver), Risk delivery, Forced to exit due to contract due dates,
Sometimes cannot get a contract because of liquidity problems in the
exchange, Have to call your broker for night trading activities,
Smaller market (compared to FOREX), Good accurate data costs money...
FOREX has the following drawbacks & advantages: Start your position
with a loss because of the spread between buy and sell, Free
(accurate?) data, Enormous volume ($1.5 Trillion transactions/day),
No bear market traps, Zero commissions though rollover interest
charges exist, Automatically close out all your positions when margin
exceeds equity (You can never lose your house on DrawDowns..), Rapid
profits...
