Have you changed your email software or settings, if not maybe check the
security settings to see if attachments can be viewed.

If you can "see" the attachment(s), but they are "grayed out", try the
following. Click your Forward button, as if you were going to forward the
message to someone. The attachment(s) should not be grayed-out and you
should be able to open them.
At least this works for me in past instances when attachments have been
grayed-out in messages in my Inbox.
