Hi TJ,
The database on computer 1 that I am trying to read
from computer 2 was created with the TC2K-plugin (local storage
enabled). I first tried to create a seperate database on computer 2 using
the plugin, but apparently AB detected that I didn't have TC2K installed on
computer 2 because it didn't give me the option to use the TC2K plugin.
Then my 2nd idea was to point the AB installation on computer 2
to AB's existing TC2K database on computer 1, but then it says 0 quotes for
all tickers. Do you know of any way to make this work? Thanks very
much!
Steve

from a Network
Hello,
Of course this is possible and no special setup is necessary
if you are using just AB database with no external
source attached.
So the question is: do you use native AB database or some
external data source via plugin ??

I am like Yuki, I also
would appreciate seeing responses to this post that,
hopefully, us non-tech types will be able to understand. I also
need to set up a network, so I am looking foreward to the responses.

Subject: [amibroker] Reading tickers
from a Network
Hi All,
I have networked 2 computers together. I just
installed AB on the secondary computer (for running long-term
backtests), and would like it to read the database on the primary
computer. It finds that database OK, and fills out the ticker tree OK, but
for all tickers it reports that there are 0 quotes, and just
displays blank charts. Is it possible for AB to read quotes from a
networked database? Thanks very much!
