posted here; remembered right after that and tried there. dale said to use the
quick start cmd instead, as you show in your code -- just less
trouble. I thought I needed to use the original full cmds to capture custom
variables, but I now realize that's not the case.

Extractor looks like just what I need, very very cool, but I'm stuck. no
matter what I do so far with Auto mode, it always says the template can't be
found. I've copied the path in the AFL into a DOS prompt and renamed the file,
just to prove to myself that it's there, with nothing misspelled. you can see
in the screen shot below that it really is too. so, it must be something wrong
with the calling code, I guess.
