Hello,
Yes you can do this but you have to setup Time
difference relative to US Eastern time in the
plugin Configuration screen correctly.
As per instructions from User's Guide <A
href=""><FONT
size=2>http://www.amibroker.com/qtracker.html
when working in daily mode with QUoteTracker:
Description of QuoteTracker plugin configuration options
QT plugin configuration dialog looks as follows:
<IMG height=283 src="gif00487.gif"
width=446>
Time difference relative to US Eastern time - the time
difference (in hours) between your local time and US Eastern time (EST). This
field is needed because QuoteTracker's server reports all times in EST time
zone. This means that if you live in Australia QuoteTracker will report ASX
quotes with EST time zone and they will be 15 hours off from your local time.
While AmiBroker has the setting for shifting intraday charts and this is not a
problem when running Intraday mode, it becomes a problem when using daily (EOD)
mode because quotes reported by QuoteTracker are one day off then. This setting
solves this as AmiBroker adds the number of hours entered here to the time
reported by QuoteTracker to get the valid date of quote in daily mode. This
field is filled in with the difference calculated using your Windows Time
settings.
Hope this helps.
Best regards,Tomasz Janeczkoamibroker.com

Good day all !
As I have gathered from my search
in the "message forum database" this topic has had it's share of
interest. I have however not been able to locate a match for my
question.
If there is a kind sir/madam out
there who may be able to help me, I would greatly appreciate
it.
I can successfully add and remove
tickers to & from QT and then go to AB ( AmiBroker ) and create a new
database based on the QT quotes...very cool facility. The trouble
actually starts when I try to use QT in so called "daily mode" or as EOD
supplier to a already existing database in AB.
In other words. If I create a new blank database and import into it from
ASCII files some EOD data and then ad similar tickers to QT and try to
"RETRIEVE" today's bar and add it to the existing database, nothing gets
added...
I live in South Africa, EST +6
hours. Here is a clip from the <A
href="">http://127.0.0.1:16239/req?getLastQuote(ACTIVE command
to confirm that the time and data is fine on the QT side:
<DIV
align=justify>AGL,09/05/2003,10:05:00,141.32,141.32,141.32,2.57,-,2379562,142.50,138.50,-1,-1,-1,-1,0,139.00,98.20,143.70,ASA,09/05/2003,10:05:00,34.40,34.40,34.50,-0.68,-,3056877,35.50,34.30,-1,-1,-1,-1,0,35.00,26.50,38.00,
The last date of my database is
09/04/2003 ( 4 Sept 2003 ) and after the "Retrieve" action the above data
is supposed to be added - not so?
When creating the new database (
which I have done many times over ) I use the Base Time Interval of
"End-Of-Day"...I have tried it with eg. 5 minutes to...but no
luck.
I have AB 4.40 and also run
QuoteTracker 3.3.0a.
Thank you for your patience with
this probably "worn-out" topic.
Kind regards and happy trading
!
