hi,
I have Amibroker + Quote Plus installed on 2 computers:
1) on a Toshiba notebook with a 2.66GHz processor and 256 MB DDR RAM,
operationg system Windows XP Prof, Windows virtual memory set at 382
MB
2) on a desktop with a AMD Athlon 1800+, 512 MB RAM, operating system
Window 2000 Prof, Windows virtual memory set at 768 MB
For both I set the Amibroker In-memory cache (symbols) at 300 and the
number of bars to load at 100. The Toshiba is slower than slow when I
load Amibroker and do some scans. The desktop seems to work fine.
My question: if I add 512 MB to the notebook would that do any good.
Could there be another problem? Seems to me 256 MB should be enough.
