Does anybody know of a way to let the ASCII importer read the MARKET
field (as part of the $FORMAT command) as text instead of numbers?
Point of course is that my typical .csv file has a text field that
corresponds to my (renamed) markets and a smooth import would assign
stocks automatically to the right market. As far as I can see, the
importer only responds to Market ID NUMBERS, even if the the Market
has been renamed.
I noted the AFL MARKETID function that can return the market name
(text) instead of number, but I can't figure out how to connect this
to the ASCII importer.
PS
Same Q for Groups and Industries, but a Market solution will probably
solve for those as well. Thanks in advance!
