Hi William,

That helped a lot. It looks like it does what I expect it to do when
graphing. I have another question for you.  How did you get power scan
to generate the formula for you?  The closest I got was

Sell = LastValue( Ref( LLV( Low, 3 ), -1 ) ) > Low;

Graphing that function did not give me anywhere near the results your
formula did.

TIA
Lee

My interpretation is that you require the function to sell when the low
of today drops below the lowest low of the PREVIOUS 3 days, so all up
we are talking about a four day period. Using the ref function you can
find the lowest low of the previous 3 days as follows. (if you only
really want to look back 2 days then just change the 3 to 2 in the
function)

/* Created using PowerScan date: 16 Jul 2003
The Low Price is the lowest it has been for the previous 3 bars */

Sell = Ref( LLV( Low, 3 ), -1 ) > Low;

I have the following line in my automatic analysis.

Sell = Close < LLV(Low,1);

I can change The 1 to a 2 or a 3 and the result is always the same.
I get buy signals, but there is never a sell signal. I will have a
positive return for the system sometimes and at other times it will be
0.00

I also tried sell = cross (llv (low,3),low); which I think is what I
really want to do.  That is, sell when the price drops below the
lowest low of the last 3 days.

I get an out , and then an open long in all the positions on the report.
Nothing after that. The quotes are from the beginning of 1990 to the
present, so there should be enough time to generate a sell signal.

Any Ideas what I'm doing wrong?

TIA
Lee
