I have used a Linksys wireless/4port router and a USB adapter to connect my
wife's computer in her office to the network/cable in my office.
Worked great until it rained. The signal could not penetrate the wet cedar
roof shingles. When they dried out again, the signal came back.
I finally gave in and ran a cable.
Easy set up, works great otherwise.
