Could you clarify << does not work with firewall built into Windows XP >>?
Must be able to disable XP's firewall?

Indeed iqfeed has many advantages but there are also some minuses:
- no premarket/after market historical intraday data
- slower backfills than eSignal
- does not work with firewall built into Windows XP
(it works with other firewalls if FTP traffic is enabled)
- the plugin currently limited to 1 minute and up bars (tick support will be added later)
Overall eSignal API is more robust than IQFeed API that seems to
be still in development.
Be warned also that IQFeed plugin is a beta, therefore may be
less stable than eSignal plugin.
