I am
attaching a picture of how I am using this. I changed the symbols so that I can
compare two mutual funds and the ^SPX to the fund I have selected in the top
chart.

In
this example it is so clear to see that in Dec, Jan, Feb and first half of Mar,
the FTHRX bond fund was outperforming the others. Then, the stock markets began
improving and the stock funds have outperformed the bond fund
since.

The
lower chart is using the AFL below with the symbols changed to my
own.

I am
using the AFL with the MONTHLY setting as below. This causes all the markets to
be reset to equal at begining of each month, then shows their comparitive
performance that month.

I will
use this to confirm the system I am using to select funds, and will also use it
to monitor funds during the month.
Of
course, this also works well for individual stocks as in the example
below.
