I just tried what you posted....and no changes to my viewing of Index folder
or watchlist.....
I am using Latest beta 4.36 and WinXp..

Under Preferences...Miscellaneous, if the box "Add full name to ticker in
tree" is selected, then you lose some watchlists, as well as the index "+"
(you can't view the index folder). So, the file was not corrupted, it is a
bug. I'd be curious to know if this is unique to my computer or is a
universal bug. All you have to do is select the box and hit apply and
unselect the box and hit apply and see what happens.

In trying to answer my own question concerning the reinstallation of
my old preferences (to go along with my reinstallation of Ami) I
found the root of my watchlist difficulties.
"broker.prefs"
This file was not present in the newly installed Ami directory. When
I copied it back from the directory of my previous installation my
old watchlist problem returned!!!
So, the field has been narrowed. I will be emailing TJ about this,
god only knows what I did to my prefs to cause this. Could it be a
corrupted file? Or is it a preference setting??
