I am not a C++ programmer either, but I have programmed in C++ in the past.
C++ or VB won't make a difference for me as long as I'm able to do the sort of automation I need. So do give me example in VB of doing the following, if you know it ===>
1) Invoke AmiBroker
2) Load Database
3) Load an AFL script into 'Guru'
4) Execute the script loaded in 'Guru'
5) Exit
... (And perhaps go back to step 2 to load the next database ...)

If you have C++ then look for a program named Spyxx.exe. That will give you all of the handles currently running in your computer. Then you'll need a book on API usage for the language you're going to use.

I've had good success with the VB groups - just put in a good search list and you'll probably find what you need.

Any documents/examples of these APIs to click those buttons ?
What I have in mind is ===>

There are ways to invoke Backtest, Explore, Scan and Optimize using OLE Automation.
Is there a way to invoke Guru using OLE Automation ?
