It could be in the version of windows that there is slight conflict with the
tab key allocation. I recall it did this to me many AB versions ago, but has
not happened since then.
I use WinXP.

Just to be sure, I tired the TAB key on a number of applications on
my machine including WSWord, WSExcel, Notepad, Wordpad, MetaStock. In
all cases, the TAB key works as expected.
The problem is with IB and AA in Ami.
